Book Review – See Through Heart

See Through Heart

By: Amie Knight31373762

Ainsley came into my life in a flurry of vibrant colors, lighting my world up when all seemed lost.

It wasn’t our quiet nights by the creek or stolen kisses surrounded by a sea of cotton that saved me.

It was her.

She was my comfort when life threw one ugly tragedy after another at me.

Until she dealt me the greatest blow.

Now, abandonment, betrayal, and death darken every corner of my life.  Anger and hurt burn bright where love and trust once lived.

But, now, she’s back.  Sure, she’s changed, but I see through it—straight to her heart.

Book Review – The Silent Waters

The Silent Waters (Elements #3)29963453

Stand Alone Novel

By: Brittainy C. Cherry

Book Description.jpg

Our lives are a collection of moments. Some utterly painful and full of yesterday’s hurts. Some beautifully hopeful and full of tomorrow’s promises.

I’ve had many moments in my lifetime, moments that changed me, challenged me. Moments that scared me and engulfed me. However, the biggest ones—the most heartbreaking and breathtaking ones—all included him.

I was ten years old when I lost my voice. A piece of me was stolen away, and the only person who could truly hear my silence was Brooks Griffin. He was the light during my dark days, the promise of tomorrow, until tragedy found him. Tragedy that eventually drowned him in a sea of memories.

This is the story of a boy and girl who loved each other, but didn’t love themselves. A story of life and death. Of love and broken promises.

Of moments.

Book Review – The Light of Day

The Light of Day (Beyond The Horizon #2)The Light of Day

Stand Alone Novel

By: Kristen Kehoe

Book Description:

Every action has its own consequence…

Cora Whitley has learned the hard way that there are some choices you can’t escape, you merely survive. And she is, surviving that is. She’s living, breathing, eating, sleeping, working, all of the things you do when all you’re trying to do is get from one day to the next without truly remembering who you were.

Jake Ferrari recognizes Cora the minute he sees her. Maybe it’s because somehow he knows she’s as broken as he is, or maybe it’s because when he looks at her he sees that the life he thought was over when his elbow blew out and his pitching career came to a halt can now be something different. Something better with her.

But nothing comes for free, not even love. Follow Cora and Jake as they piece together their lives and deal with the consequences of falling in love with the one person they know they can’t have.

Best Vacation To-Date

During the summer of 2015, I had the chance to travel to Europe. While in Europe I got the chance to visit Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Liechtenstein.

One of my favorite Locations that we visited was the Neuschwanstein Castle. This castle is a nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. While visiting the castle we got to tour some of the main rooms then hike to Queen Mary’s bridge, which is where the picture below was taken of the castle.

Book Description:

What does it take to rise from life’s depths, swim against the current, and breathe?

Weighted down by the loss of her parents, Blythe McGuire struggles to keep her head above water as she trudges through her last year at Matthews College. Then a chance meeting sends Blythe crashing into something she doesn’t expect—an undeniable attraction to a dark-haired senior named Chris Shepherd, whose past may be even more complicated than her own. As their relationship deepens, Chris pulls Blythe out of the stupor she’s been in since the night a fire took half her family. She begins to heal, and even, haltingly, to love this guy who helps her find new paths to pleasure and self-discovery. But as Blythe moves into calmer waters, she realizes Chris is the one still strangled by his family’s traumatic history. As dark currents threaten to pull him under, Blythe may be the only person who can keep him from drowning.
